What does it do?
Once you add your project folders to the application, it will automatically start monitoring the less files inside these folders for changes. After you have saved the less file, the application will automatically parse your less file into a regular css file.
I saved my less file, but I don't see my changes in my browser. What happened?
There are a number of different scenarios where this can happen:
- The less file you saved is invalid: please check whether the file was successfully processed in the log
- You haven't enabled the file monitoring: at the bottom of the application there is a checkbox that allows you to enable or disable the file monitoring system
- The less parser polls the files for changes every second, so it is possible that you refreshed your browser before the less parser checked the file.
Things to come
- Growl-like notifications of the parse result (confirmations/errors)
Which operating systems are supported?
The less parser application has been developed in Adobe Air, so it should work on all operating systems that have Adobe Air.
This application has been developed under Windows 7, it has not been tested on other operating systems though. If you encounter an issue, please feel free to report it in the bugtracker.
I found a bug, what should I do?
Well, since the application is still in beta, such things can happen. If you want you can submit a bug report in the bugtracker.
The application layout looks familiar, why is that?
It is possible that you've come across "Less.app for Mac OSX" developed by Bryan D K Jones. With his consent, I have based my application layout on the layout of his application..
Who made this application?
This application is being developed by Filip Van Tendeloo. A front-end developer at Internet Architects.
